solver ( string ) – String that specifies the solver used by pyfmi to simulate the FMU model. Assumptions¶. The package assumes that all the data series and the data imported from CSV files use UTC as time zone. Please make sure that when you associate a pandas.Series to an input or output it uses UTC as timezone. The default is to use PyFMI if directional derivatives are available, otherwise computed by the choosen solver. Default: "Default" logging --If True, creates a logfile from the solver in the current directory. Default: False result_handling --Specifies how the result should be handled.

PyFMI is based on the open source package FMI Library [2]. It is designed to provide a high-level, easy to use, interface for working with FMUs. Your best bet would be to have a look at the FMI methods "fmi2SerializeFMUState" etc. With these you would have the option to store the FMU state to file and read it back. Unfortunately they are not currently supported in PyFMI but I don't believe it would be that much of an effort to include.
